Booster clubs in any state, receipted by one charity
Parent groups can run a tax-deductible campaign without forming their own nonprofit. The receipt names Arizona Boosters Foundation, Inc., EIN 39-3080525. National is the nationwide program, not a second exemption. Arizona clubs can start on the Arizona booster page.
Most Booster Clubs Don’t Have 501(c)(3) Status
You show up to every practice and every game. You plan the banquets, coordinate the car washes, and run the concession stand. But when it comes to making your fundraising tax-deductible, most booster clubs hit the same wall.
Forming your own 501(c)(3) is expensive (attorney fees, IRS Form 1023) and slow (months of review time). Most parent groups across the country can’t justify the cost — and shouldn’t have to. There’s a better way.
Arizona Boosters Foundation, Inc. is the recognized 501(c)(3). When your booster club fundraises through National, donors receive an acknowledgment from that charity — no new registration in your state’s name, and no second EIN.
Raise under the parent charity’s exemption
National requests and publishes the campaign. Arizona Boosters Foundation, Inc. is the fiscal sponsor. Its 501(c)(3) status covers the designated campaign. National does not extend an exemption it does not hold.
- No EIN required for your booster club
- Immediate tax-deductibility for every donor
- No upfront registration fees
- Compliance maintained by NBF
- Works in all 50 states

Booster Club Fundraising Ideas That Work Nationwide
The best fundraiser is the one your community will actually support. These approaches work for booster clubs across all 50 states through NBF.
Donation Drives
A simple, shareable campaign page your community gives to directly. Tax-deductibility through NBF attracts larger gifts from businesses and individual donors who want the receipt.
Peer-to-Peer Campaigns
Every player becomes a fundraiser with their own campaign link. Team-wide campaigns under NBF’s 501(c)(3) status make every donation count as a charitable gift.
Ripped Jerky Team Sales
Teams earn 20% of all Ripped Jerky sales back to the program. Easy to sell, ships nationwide, and donors love a tangible product. See the Ripped Jerky program.
Business Sponsorships
Local businesses often want to sponsor youth sports but need a 501(c)(3) receipt for their accountant. NBF’s status makes your sponsorship ask easy to approve.
Event-Based Fundraisers
Golf tournaments, auctions, dinners, 5K runs. NBF can help structure booster club events so ticket sales and donations qualify as charitable contributions.
Season-Long Sponsor Boards
Recognize supporting businesses in programs, on banners, or on social. Note that payments for advertising are treated differently from charitable sponsorship acknowledgments, and may not be deductible as charitable contributions — businesses should consult their own tax advisor.

Booster Club Fundraising — FAQs
Does my booster club need its own 501(c)(3) to use NBF?
No. Your booster club fundraises under National Boosters Foundation’s established 501(c)(3). You don’t need your own EIN, nonprofit registration, or attorney. NBF’s status covers your campaign from day one.
Is this available in every state?
Yes. National Boosters Foundation serves sports programs in all 50 states. Whether your booster club is in Florida, Texas, California, Ohio, or anywhere else in the country, you can run a campaign through NBF.
What sports can booster clubs fundraise for through NBF?
All sports. Football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, wrestling, swimming, track & field, lacrosse, tennis, golf, cross country, cheerleading, dance, esports, and more. High school, club, travel, and recreational programs all qualify.
Can a booster club that already has its own nonprofit still partner with NBF?
Yes. Booster clubs with existing 501(c)(3) status partner with NBF to access our resource network — discounts, meal prep, team stores, and more. Fundraising under our umbrella is one benefit; the full resource network is another.
